Kelly the SNUBA Guide & Admin
Kelly makes sure all financial info is kept straight. She is really our great number cruncher but also an extraordinary SNUBA Guide. She is incredibly organised. You can also find her doing cruise ship pick-ups and occasionally guiding a few guests and talking.
Kelly the PADI Instructor
Not only is Kelly an Administrator for SNUBA SXM, but she is also a PADI IDC Staff Instructor. Kelly did her NAUI Open water and Advanced equivalent way back in her study years. The diving was not really relaxing back then as it was more of a vehicle to get things done for her study. Often the diving was done just to get samples of the mud and water from the bottom of ponds and rivers. Kelly has her Master’s in Marine Biology
Marine Biologist and more
Then, in 2007, while she was running the Whale Shark and Oceanic Research Center (WSORC) on the island of Utila, Kelly started looking at diving a little more seriously. Within a few months and daily dives, Kelly did her EFR, PADI Rescue Diver, PADI DiveMaster, PADI open Water Scuba Diver Instructor (OWSI) and Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) with Michel, who was the Platinum Course Director for Bay Island College of Diving on the same island.
Kelly became an IDC Staff instructor in 2009 and when Caribbean Dive College was conducting quarterly IDC’s on the island of Sint Maarten, Kelly became the main assistant for IDC’s. Kelly is just shy of being a Master Instructor.
Kelly the SNUBA guide
Also in 2009, SNUBA was introduced to Michel and Kelly. While Michel became Program Coordinator, Kelly became a SNUBA guide back then. Since then, Kelly has lead hundreds of SNUBA Dives for Caribbean Dive College and is still in the water occasionally as a snuba guide, usually when other staff is unavailable for whatever reason.
You will not see her in the water in this roll very often, but don’t be too surprised when you do. She is rather good at it. Just doesn’t really have the time. Kelly is often mentioned in five star reviews on Facebook.
