Mich’s Basic Diving Background
Mich started diving in 2000 on a business trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During a break, he managed to fly himself to the Perhentian Islands and get PADI Open Water Diver certified. In 2002, he did his PADI Advanced, PADI Rescue, Medical First Aid and PADI DiveMaster, and then in 2003 hi PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.
Professional Diving Career
Once certified as Instructor, Mich immediately started instructing new divers as a hobby and that kind of ran away from him. By summer 2003, Mich had done 5 specialty ratings, Master Scuba Diver Trainer, certified about 35 divers and opened a dive shop.
Race to the top
From there on things accelerated fast. Mich made Staff Instructor in 2004, Master Instructor in 2005 and PADI Course Director in March 2006. To date, Mich has taught over 1800 diving programs from Discover Scuba up to IDC Staff Instructor and Technical Diving in many places all over the world, but mainly in Sint Maarten
Why SNUBA if such an experienced dive instructor?
Although Mich is certified and experienced teaching the highest level of recreational and Technical Divers, he still enjoys SNUBA. This is 100% to be written off to the fact SNUBA is such a successful program.
“There is no better feeling than staring out with a person with some level of nervousness and turning this person into a confident diver. This feeling is the same whether I teach Dive Instructors who go up for their Instructor Exam, as well as SNUBA divers, who take their first breath under water”.
SNUBA is amazing!
SNUBA is an excellent way to have your first under water experience. Nothing more than swimming and breathing. Even if it is a little intimidating in the beginning and sometimes it takes a little time to get used to this new feeling. Sint Maarten has the perfect waters to conduct these experiences.
